In the last 3-4 years we have come to know that social media profiling is a fact of recruitment. Internal recruiters as well as agents started checking out what people do on social media as part of the recruitment process.

This has spawned a new type of business: Professional Social Media Profilers. Farosian is such a company. With input from an anthropologist they will construct social media profiles of candidates.

At first glance this may seem invasive and perhaps a little creepy but really it is a formalisation of what is already happening and it makes sense that it is done independently in a report that will give context to someone social media activity.

Perhaps a candidate is exceptional at building personal relationships but is poor at interviews.
